Spring Forward

I love/hate daylight savings time. I like having an extra hour of sunlight, but I hate having my sleep schedule messed with. Remembering to change all the clocks is also not my favorite.

Here are a couple of clocks that are worth hanging/changing/looking at:

The countdown clock from CB2 is pretty well done, but I have to say the honeycomb one is my favorite. Honeycombs are hard to beat.

Piecing It Together

Wow I'm behind on blogging! My mom came for a visit, so I took a break from everything and played tourist for the weekend. We went and saw the Amish Quilt exhibit at the de Young museum, which was amazing!

All of the patterns were striking and the colors were a lot more vibrant than I expected. I would highly recommend checking it out if you live in the area!

I used to think quilts were fairly mundane, but after the exhibit I started looking around and found some interesting quilts/quilt inspired products. Here are some of them:

This recycled wood sign made by William Dohman is very lovely, and a useful reminder to just breathe when things get a little stressful.

Squirrely Sunday

The other day Tina from Swissmiss wondered if clouds were the new mustache, which got me thinking about what the new owl might be. I love owls, but they've been very popular recently and seem to be on their way out.

For a brief period I thought maybe the octopus fad would take over, but it sort of fizzled out before it got too far. So my latest guess is squirrels! They're almost as cute as owls, and have that same quirkiness about them.

Here are some great squirrels I found:

I really like the wallpaper, which is from the Wallpaper Collective, but I think it would be slightly challenging to use outside of a child's room. I think it could look good in an entry way, or maybe in an office with the right furniture and accessories. Thoughts?
