Colorful Catch Up

I missed posting my last two Sidewalk Saturdays, so here's what I found/saw:

New stencils:

{This gnome is the King of Taylor St.}

Succulent wall at Paxton Gate in the Mission:

Amazing mural on the alley of Apartment at 18th and Valencia:

I thought the floor of Apartment was cool:

Stuck at a bus stop during a torrential rain storm:

The beautiful sunset tonight:

I hope your weekend was great also!

Sidewalk Saturday 11/6

Even though I stopped blogging for awhile, I kept taking pictures of cool sidewalk art I ran across.

Here's a couple worth sharing:

Have a great weekend!

Sidewalk Saturday 5/8

I have to dash off to work, but here's some pictures of cool sidewalk graffiti that I've found recently:

{I can't remember if I've posted this one before or not, I found it along time ago, and just found a prettier version of it last week}

I was in a hurry when I took the last two. Normally I'm careful not to get my shadow in the picture, but I think in this case the shadows make the pictures more interesting.

I really like the panda faces this week, but I'm pretty much a sucker for anything animal related. What do you think?

Sidewalk Saturday 4/24

I have a couple of sidewalk stencils and graffiti to show you today. I actually found two new ones while I was out and about running errands this morning.

I found another heart! And, how amazing is the jackhammer stencil? I love stencils that incorporate the sidewalk into the design.

I've been seeing more sidewalk graffiti that has been drawn onto the sidewalk, I like it, but not as much as the stencils.

Here's a cool door I saw on the exterior of an apartment building. It looks like the finished version of the sidewalk chicken above. I like the collaged effect of the graffiti and the nice color work.

I hope you're having a great weekend as well!

Sidewalk Saturday 4/3

Today was a good day for stencils. I went on a short walk in the sunshine and managed to find three new stencils (The first two are from earlier in the week).

{Cupcake Is Better}

{Sad Star}

{Yellow Heart}

{Purple Tiger}

{Green Skull}

{Black Skull}

The two skulls were part of a series of skull stencils that went up the hill for half a block alternating in color. It's the only series of stencils I've seen like that.

The purple tiger is my new favorite, although I wish I had found it before it got so faded.

Tomorrow I'm celebrating Easter by going to the antique fair. I hope your Easter weekend is going well also!

Sidewalk Saturday 3/27

This Saturday was full of fun finds!

I went to the San Francisco Antique Mall for the first time, and found this really cool reverse painting on glass I wish I could have bought:

And these antique valve handles were pretty awesome too:

After the antique mall, my friend Alicia and I headed to the Alemany Farmer's Market which was nearby:

I bought some fresh strawberries, but didn't get any flowers this time.

Here's some pictures of an amazing graffiti wall near the farmer's market:

I love the color combos in these, especially the last one!

And last but not least, I found this stencil near Folsom St while walking to the car after stopping at a garage sale:

How's your weekend going so far?

Sidewalk Saturday 3/20

I ran across several new sidewalk stencils this week while walking around parts of the city I hadn't been to before. There were even a couple I didn't get good pictures of that I'll probably go back for.

"déjà pu"

"Mrs Bi-Polar Bear"

"Manimals smell like bad decisions"

I also took a picture of the new CB2 window because I liked the stenciled signs, and the message (I also love reflection photos).

And here's a robot graffitied onto some kind of tank, similar to the mailbox one I posted before.

My favorite is the robot, but I also can't help but love the phrase "manimals smell like bad decisions," it's kind of brilliant. What do you think?

Sidewalk Saturday 3/6

This is a quick one cause I'm out the door to see Alice In Wonderland!

{bow graffiti is my new fav}

{corporate sheep says "quit"}

{balloons on a telephone wire, pretty!}

I hope you're enjoying the weekend!
